Molly is your typical working type Collie, very fast and very intelligent. And over the last couple of years Dave has put in a lot of hard work training Molly up to quite a high standard. Molly’s re-call had always been her weakness but Dave just about managed to get around that with one or two tricks up his sleeve, all of a sudden Molly was refusing to come anywhere near Dave at the end of a walk and she was not fooled by bribery! On one walk in particular it took him 2 hours to get Molly back on the lead. If this wasn’t enough of a problem for Dave, Molly had also decided that in the mornings she didn’t want to go downstairs into the garden and getting her along the landing and down the stairs and accomplishing this manoeuvre was not something for the faint hearted because Molly was putting up a good fight!
I went along to Dave’s house to witness Molly’s morning behaviour and then we went for a walk to have a look at this reluctance at the end of a walk, after careful observation I made sure suggestions and recommendations and this is what Dave has to say about Molly now.
This is what Dave said:
Molly is a totally different dog and is now the dog we always wanted!
