As a child I was animal mad!! Always trying to rescue something, or fix a poorly animal, in some shape or form.
I was fortunate that my Grandfather had some land for me to play Doctor Dolittle on!!
Basically my childhood revolved around riding the ponies , walking the dog and teaching them tricks. Alongside taking the goat on picnics….. Yes…picnics!! And trying to teach the pigeons to do relay games. Sounds crazy…..but I’m afraid to say….it’s true.
After many years of working with dogs, I decided to take my career a bit further and study to be a canine behaviourist…..though if I’m honest , it’s not the kind of thing you can learn from a book. Nothing beets that ‘ hands on experience ‘ of being around dogs for many many years.
My work is very fulfilling, sometimes it’s very tough, physically and mentally. But it combines the 2 things in life in which I get a lot of enjoyment from….. Helping people and working with dogs.
Of course it’s always nice to have your hard work recognised and rewarded and it was of great surprise to see Google giving me recognition for being the best local dog trainer/ behaviourist in the area recently……onwards and upwards!!
